2024: Ranking NFL divisions by the quarterback: Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson aid AFC North lead the way

A complete list of every expected player across the eight divisions.

Certain NFL Teams have quarterbacks who are top-of-the-line. Some teams, not so much. Which of the eight divisions in the league are the ones with the greatest collective talent? Also which divisions are the most entertaining based on their star power in the collective at signal-caller? What are the ones that appear to be the most competitive?

We’ve put them in order from lowest to top to the best, as the 2024 NFL football season is approaching:

8. NFC South

It’s no surprise that this group is considered to be the weakest among the eight. Cousinsis unbeatable as a tough and well-constructed pocket passer, however he’s approaching 36, fresh from a serious injury and adjusting to a brand new line-up. Mayfieldis always rough, but hasn’t managed to put together a consistent season. Carris resilient, but is trying to find a big game run. Also, Young although he’s poised but still a huge prospect coming off a slow debut in a depleted support cast. You can bet on any of them for your personal risk.

7. AFC West

This is a top heavy foursome. Mahomesis already a Hall of Famer after winning his third Super Bowl title in just five years. annual leader in the game, whether throwing it far or pushing it when it is most important. He’s always fun to watching. Herbertremains an untouched prototype with the laser arm and an elite size in the pocket, even if a shrewd coaching style has contributed to his sagging resume in the last quarter of the year. The rest is up to the players: O’Connellshowed grit as a fill-in for the rookie year, but is likely to be beaten in the future by Gardner Minshew. and Nix, despite his impressive college work is an absolute mystery. You could pretty much call this a race for two horses.

6. AFC South

The division of young upside and question marks. Stroudis hoping to live up to MVP expectations following an incredibly energetic debut where he was able to control the ball and drove it into the field with veteran power. Lawrenceis hoping to earn his contract, which is hefty after three seasons of amazing passing power and intriguing decisions. The two the Levisand Richardsonhave the size, appearance and attitude of Josh Allen-like different-makers, but with no experience and a few injuries. If they’re all well, the potential for fireworks is huge.

5. NFC North

The group has experienced a significant shifts in its personnel and/or opinions. The Lovefinished his first season as a starting quarterback having one of the most energetic players in the NFL and is expected to give Green Bay another big-time gunslinger. Goffmay be a bit off-script, however he has completely transformed himself, transitioning to Rams the castoff, to a a strong figurehead in the most balanced offense in the league. Darnold could be a placeholder for chilly rookie J.J. McCarthy, but with a strong arm and an enviable set-up, he may be in line for a career-best mark. Williamshas not yet make an NFL shot, but he has an uncanny ability to play with pizzazz. In the next year, this team could explode.

4. NFC East

Another top-heavy team, but with more established performance up on top, and some chance of success in the basement. Hurtswas more volatile as a field-reader during the subsequent season on his MVP bid and has shown that the ability to play in Super Bowls as well as a tough running style and downfield sensitivity. Prescottlacks this kind of postseason record however, he is an NFL’s most savvy pocket passers. Joneshas generally been a major injury/turnover attraction during New York’s ongoing rebuild, however, he has at least been able to lead a playoff run as a ball-control threat. Danielsraises fears due to his lean frame, but he could also add massive power. Make sure to reserve minimum two of them to be considered for a playoff spot.

3. NFC West

A division known as the “Just to Win” division. Okay, maybe it’s only applicable to the top but it’s true that Purdyhas been a close call as San Francisco’s improbable sterling point guard, showing the ability to play and efficiency to finish 21-6, which includes playoffs, and as an All-Star. 1. Staffordmay might be close to the end of his career due to his history of injuries However, he has a cannon after three years of making the Rams to the finish line. Smithstill struggles to keep his streak going however he has demonstrated an ability to make darts at crunch time. Also, Murray although often inconsistent in the air, is difficult to pin down and finally has elements to build upon. The division may be quite very tight in reality.

2. AFC East

Boom-or-bust is the division. With an overhauled reception team, Allenis a one-man wrecking squad, sporting unparalleled skill as a rough high-speed scrambler as well as a deep ball launcher. Rodgershas serious medical issues following an injury that was serious going into 41. However, it’s difficult to ignore his skill as a precise thrower particularly in a lineup that is talented. Tagovailoarelies a lot on his timing, and is still trying to show his worth on the biggest arena, but is considered to be an NFL’s most precise throwers. Additionally, Brissett even though more suited to bench work can be an able replacement for the rookie Drake Maye. There could be three Pro Bowlers within this group.

1. AFC North

What other division, aside from that of the mahomes-weighted AFC West, boasts a top two teams with 2 NFL MVPs, and 3 conference championships? Burrowhas been able to remain standing tall to be in the game, but when he’s fit, he’s been the most cool touch quarterback in the most glare-free lighting on the other side of Mahomes. Jacksonremains the ultimate home run threat each time he makes a move with his feet, and his acrobatics was more steady in 2023. Watsonis an absolute walking red flag due to the unpredictable availability of Watson, but there are at least glimpses of his former Pro Bowl self. Wilsonis an entirely different player than when he was at the height of his championship era and could go to the more athletic Justin Fields, but he’s got plenty of experience. The division, and its quarterbacks, can be ugly. However, they nearly alwaysmake tough calls.
