ROCHESTER Hills MICHESTER HILLS. (WILX) A suspect of the Rochester Hills splash pad shooting that wounded nine victims has been identified as dead, according to WDIV of Detroit.

The shooting took place on a Saturday night at the Brooklands plaza, a splash pad located in Rochester Hills.
The Rochester Hills Police Department first made the announcement in an posting on Facebook at 7 p.m. the post stated that “There are multiple people injured.”
At 7:15 p.m. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said on their Facebook page“That remains a crime scene that is active, and we may have the suspect in custody, but we’ve advised that at this time, residents to stay clear of that area.”
Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard claims that the shooting appears like a random act.
The circumstances of the victims’ conditions are not yet established.
According to the WDIV the shooter was detained in the mobile home park located in Shelby Township for several hours following the shooting, before he committed suicide. It is not known who shot the person. is not been released yet, but was known to police.
According to Bouchard the shooter appears to have fired up 28 times. Police have reported that they found an assault weapon.
