A jury in Manhattan, New York on Thursday found Donald Trump guilty of falsifying business records in connection with money paid to Stormy Daniels to conceal his “affair.”
The Big Apple jury decided that the former president is guilty of all the charges against him.
Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records from his company in connection with an alleged scheme to conceal potentially embarrassing stories about him during his 2016 Republican presidential election campaign.
With this decision, the billionaire becomes the first former president in the history of the United States to be found guilty in a criminal case.
The judge in the case, Juan Merchan mentioned that it will be next July 11 at 10 a.m. when the sentence against Trump is announced.
The judge thanked the jury for their service and asked them to leave the room.
At the time of sentencing, the magnate was accompanied by his son Eric Trump.
Former President Donald Trump has mentioned on several occasions that his civil rights are violated and insisted that it is a witch hunt.
