Jalpaiguri The death toll is growing as a result of the Kanchenjunga Express crash. According to the news agency PTI sources the number of people killed could reach 15, and injured 60 passengers. According to another source the death toll is currently 8, with and 58 passengers. The deceased are the drivers of the train carrying goods and the guards on the Kanchenjunga Express. The injured have been taken to a local hospital treatment. However the train involved in the accident been departed in Sealdah at Nizbari.

Sealdah bound Kanchenjunga Express met with an accident near the NJP station early on Monday morning, following being struck by the freight train. The result was that the two rooms in which the express train were destroyed.
