Cummins sets records with the second successive T20 World Cup hat-trick
A new milestone in the career of Australia’s best fast bowler who claims another hat-trick.
Cummins recorded a hat-trick of two innings during the game against Bangladesh on Thursday. The right-armer matched the feat again in Afghanistan as he saw Rashid Khan, Karim Janat and Gulbadin Naib dismissed after three deliveries in succession.

It’s only the eighth time an individual bowler has achieved the feat at a men’s T20 World Cup and the first time that a player has accomplished the feat repeatedly.
Cummins is currently a part of a distinguished collection of 7 players who take a hat-trick during the men’s T20 World Cup, with Brett Lee (2007), Curtis Campher (2021), Wanindu Hasaranga (2021), Kagiso Rabada (2021), Karthik Meiyappan (2022) and Josh Little (2022) the other bowlers who have also been successful in the past.

While Cummins admitted that he didn’t realize he had scored the hat-trick at the Bangladesh match However, the Australia pacer said that he knew the incident this time.
“I remembered that one,” Cummins stated during the break in the innings.
“It’s crazy that I have played 100-odd games for Australia and now I have got two (hat-tricks) in a row.”
