Katy Perry shared some observational humor while preparing to grace the runaway at Vogue magazine ‘s third annual Vogue World: Paris event.
The celebration brought more than 500 top stars from around the world to the renowned Place Vendome to celebrate 100 years of fashion in France. It was a sight to see the actress and singer Sabrina Carpenter and singer-songwriter Ciara appear on the catwalk.
The musician FKA Twigs and supermodel Cara delevingne were working with Perry prior to the big show The former desired Perry to be the “Hot and Cold” singer to present a completely different image from the one the public had come to recognize her for.
FKA Twigs told Perry to ensure that she was using she was using the “C-word;” this is commonly used in numerous LGBTQ+ communities to show “characteristics such as being confident, sassy or fierce,” according to Christian Ilbury for The Conversation.
“It’s a state of mind – a stance anyone can embody, regardless of gender,” Ilbury wrote.
FKA Twigs said in a video that was posted on Perry’s Instagram; “just make sure it’s not dead behind the eyes, make sure you look like you’re going somewhere, but like not in a pop star way.”
Then Perry interrupted to respond: “I’ve only ever been a pop star?”
The group laughed as Perry left the area to practice her walk. FKA Twigs suggested, “a little more work in the shoulders maybe,” and Delevingne added “like a tiger.”
The two were both thrilled with Perry’s performance and yelled “very good.”
The fans loved the collection of video and images and shared their thoughts in the comments.
“Katy Perry’s ability to pull off so many things is my favorite part,” wrote @ohmadellyn.
The podcaster Marsha Molinari added, “You were born for a model walk off.”
The account of @kursatperry on Twitter commented, “what a SERVE.”
Perry made heads turn at the glamorous party wearing an Noir Kei Ninomiya geometric gown which created a naked look.
Perry appeared in a dazzling fashion in the segment of the show that was devoted to the silhouettes and style that were popular in the late 1980s. Models dressed in Saint Laurent, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garcons and other brands.
When they walked down the huge catwalk, models were accompanied by karatekas and judokas who are professional (judo instructors and practitioners from karate), as an honor to martial arts. They were with Nika Taiko which is an Paris-based Japanese drummer group.
The event was a celebration of the 100th anniversary of French fashion with segments of the show devoted to different eras of France’s fashion and fashion houses.
Other important events that made the news included the supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid riding on horses before taking photos in black designer attires.
