GAME RECAP–Aces Take Down Fever 88-69, Upping Winning Streak to 5 Games
Las Vegas (July 2nd, 2024)–The Las Vegas Aces (11-6) extended their winning streak to five games after sweeping an 88-69 victory over Indiana Fever (8-13) Indiana Fever (8-13) at home on Tuesday night at T-Mobile Arena.
Las VEGAS (July 2 2024)— The Las Vegas Aces (11-6) extended their winning streak to five games after a 88-69 win against the Indiana Fever (8-13) at home on Tuesday night in T-Mobile Arena. Kelsey Plum scored 34 points in the game in leading the Aces in scoring. A’ja Wilson scored 29 points and 9 rebounds. Jackie Young had double-doubles with fifteen points as well as 10 assists, and Kiah Stokes had a team-high 12 boards.
Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever with 23 points. Caitlin Clark added 13 points and had 11 assists.

First Quarter Highlights (Las Vegas 26, Indiana 24)
The Aces were ahead 9-3 at the beginning of the game, however, six consecutive points from the Fever resulted in a tie at nine. The Fever held a lead of 13-11 in the middle of the quarter, however following a Plum 3 point shot at 4:06 the Fever never again led throughout this contest. Plum was the leader for the Aces with nine points as did Mitchell. Mitchell also scored nine points to outscore in the Fever. The two teams scored 42.9 percent of the field. The Aces were 6-14, as well with Mitchell was 6-14, and the Fever 9-21. It was a close game for both teams. Gray has handed her four assists. She has now accumulated 1,220 assists throughout her career which is 9th most assists ever recorded in WNBA history. Cappie Pondexter ranks 8th on the list with 1,578.
