LAFC’s Mateusz Bogusz Named MLS Player Of The Month
LAFC midfielder Mateusz Bogusz has been named MLS Player of the Month for June 2024. Bogusz was the main driver for an LAFC team which did not lose (4W-0L-1D) in June. He scored at minimum one goal throughout the month. He also scored the score of nine times (6g/3a ).

LAFC midfielder Mateusz Bogusz has been named MLS Player of the Month for June 2024.
Bogusz was the main engine in the LAFC team that remained unbeaten (4W-0L-1D) in June. He scored more than one goal in every game played during the month. He contributed nine goals to the team (6g/3a). His nine goal total in the time of the month are in line with Cucho Hernandez of his team the Columbus Crew for the league highest position. Bogusz is currently tied alongside FC Cincinnati midfielder Luciano Acosta who is currently the Landon Donovan MLS MVP, with the longest run of goals scored in MLS this season.
Bogusz completed the month by scoring his debut MLS goal in the 3-0 victory over The Colorado Rapids on June 29.
The 22-year-old is currently undergoing an impressive season in his second year of the club, scoring a score of 12 goals (4 games winner) in addition to five assists in 20 matches. The Polish midfielder has scored 9 points and has contributed 4 assists during his goal scoring streak of nine matches which has enabled LAFC to not lose losing (8W-0L-1D) in the same period of time.
Bogusz who scored three goals in consecutive games matches with San Jose (2g/1a) and Colorado (3g) Bogusz was the fourth LAFC player to receive the”Player of the Month. He was along with Denis Bouanga, Adama Diomande and Carlos Vela (three times ). Bogusz). He and Piotr Todayak (May 1998) are the only Polish players from MLS that have been awarded the award.
LAFC are at the top of the Western Conference with 40 points (12W-4L-4D) and will play on LA Galaxy LA Galaxy Thursday night at the Rose Bowl in the latest edition of El Trafico (10:30 pm ET or 7:15 PST, MLS Season Pass).
