Berlin (AP) — England forward Harry Kane finished Euro 2024 in a six-way tie to be the Golden Boot top scorer as his team fell in the final game 2-1 to Spain. It was yet another personal honor for a player who has yet to be awarded a major award for his country or club.
Kane ended the tournament with three goals the Spain midfielder Dani Olmo, Germany midfielder Jamal Musiala, Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo, Slovakia winger Ivan Schranz and Georgia striker Georges Mikautadze.
Kane has finished second at two successive European Championship finals after England’s loss in the final to Italy three years earlier.
