California Rep. Adam Schiff demands Biden to resign

California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff has called to President Biden to quit a campaign to re-elect him, according to an interview on NPR. The announcement was first reported by The LA Times.

The statement stated that Schiff’s candidate is currently running in the race to run for Senate for the state of California He called on Biden to “pass the torch” and “secure his legacy of leadership” by allowing Democrats to confront Donald Trump.

“Joe Biden has been one of the most consequential presidents in our nation’s history, and his lifetime of service as a Senator, a Vice President, and now as President has made our country better,” Schiff wrote. “But our country is at an intersection. Another Trump presidency will threaten the very foundations of our democracy. I am worried regarding whether President Biden can beat Donald Trump in November. “

Schiff is probably the most famous Democrat that has publicly called for Biden to resign.
