WNBA Star Brittney Griner and Wife Cherelle Welcome First Child Together
The athlete, who was released from a Russian jail in the second portion of 2022 will compete at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

WNBA star Brittney Griner along with her wife Cherelle Griner are awaiting the birth of their son.
Brittney Griner announced the news in an the CBS Sports show We Need to Talk. The 33-year-old athlete was the focus of attention in 2022 after being arrested at the border of Russia in connection with cannabis possession. She also announced the date their son was born during the month of July. The couple had previously announced that they were going to give the baby a name like Bash.
“He is amazing,” Griner stated to “We Need To Talk”. “They say that as soon as you’ve seen him, everything you thought was important just disappears, and that’s exactly what happens. “
This player, who plays in the center position for the NBA’s Phoenix Mercury, is set to join the U.S. women’s national basketball team this summer for the Paris Olympics. Griner has won gold before for the team both at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games.
“It kind of sucks because I’ve got to leave, but at the same time, he’ll understand,” Griner explained, pointing out she was planning to let her kid text”Pops” in her “Pops. ” Griner added, “My entire phone is turning into him right now. “
Cherelle Griner had been sharing photos to Instagram during her pregnancy. “Can’t believe we’re less than three months away from meeting our favorite human being,” she posted in April, adding the hashtag #BabyGrinerComingSoon. The couple was married in June, 2019.
Brittney Griner released in December 2022 from a Russian jail as part the prisoner swap following her arrest in the February month for addiction to drugs. The Hollywood Reporter published on the 1st of December the announcement the news that she was Russian detention would become part of an ESPN documentary, and perhaps a scripted show from ABC Signature.
