Rapper Sean Kingston and his mother are being investigated for federal felony charges in the suspected fraud scheme that is worth $1 million

Rapper and singer Sean Kingston and his mother are being prosecuted in the street of South Florida on federal charges of committing more than one million dollars worth of fraud.

 

MIAMI – The rapper and singer Sean Kingston and his mother have been charged by the federal government in South Florida on federal charges of involving greater than $1 million of fraud.

Kingston 34 and his mother, 61-year-old Janice Turner, made their first appearances before a federal judge according to the court papers. The Miami grand jury pronounced an indictment in the last month in which they were accused Kingston and his mother of participating in a sophisticated scheme to defraud individuals of expensive cars jewellery, vehicles, and other things through the use of fraudulent documents.

Kingston has been taken into custody at the Broward County jail on similar charges brought by the state last month following his arrest on the 23rd day of May at the location of Fort Irwin, an Army training center in Mojave Desert of California where he was undergoing training. Turner was arrested the same day that her son was taken into custody and taken into custody in the presence of an SWAT team who searched his home situated at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

According to the Federal indictment Kingston and Turner falsely claimed that they had made arrangements for bank wires or any other transfers for costly products, when actually, no such transactions took place. The investigation found the fact that Kingston and Turner had more than a million dollars in illicitly purchased things, despite never having paid for the products.

A warrant for state-issued charges reveal that between October and March, they stole the equivalent of $500,000 worth of jewelry plus more than $200k dollars taken from Bank of America, $160,000 from a Cadilac Escalade dealer, and more than $100,000 from First Republic Bank and $86,000 from the maker of customized beds.

The Jamaican American performer had a No. 1 hit during 2007 when she released “Beautiful Girls” in 2007 and also collaborated along with Justin Bieber on the song “Eenie Meenie. 

Robert Rosenblatt, an attorney for Kingston and his mother, has not yet to reply in response to an inquiry for more information through The Associated Press. He’s already stated that they were looking at ways to resolve the allegations, and said they were “confident that they will be able to reach a resolution. 

Kingston who’s real identity is Kisean Anderson was sentenced to two years of probation for theft of property.

The mother of the son was found guilty in the year 2006 of bank fraud and receiving more than $160,000 in cash. She was sentenced to over 1.5 years in prison, as according to federal court documents.
