Magnitude-4.9 Barstow earthquake and subsequent earthquakes shake regions that are Southern California
Shake was heard throughout vast regions of Southern California, including Los Angeles.

A magnitude-4.9 earthquake, and at least two more earthquakes were observed at the end of this afternoon in the Barstow region, north of Los Angeles.
followingshocks that ranged within magnitude-3.5 or 2.8 were detected after the quake that occurred in the Mojave desert of San Bernardino County. According to on the USGS web site shakes were felt throughout Los Angeles, Pasadena, Glendale, Chatsworth, Granada Hills, Chino, Universal City, Claremont and other regions.
The fault that triggers earthquakes near the epicenter is known as Calico Fault. Calico Fault which traverses in the desert.
There aren’t any immediately visible signs of damage.
Barstow is situated about 100 miles northeast from Los Angeles.
