Simone Biles seemingly shades former teammate MyKayla skinner after winning a the gold medal in 2024’s Paris Olympics
Biles who became the most accomplished athlete in US history following Tuesday’s win she reportedly thanked her ex-teammate in a witty tweet on social media.

Simone Biles had some choice remarks for her critics to share in a celebratory social media post following Team USA’s women’s gymnastics squad won and took home victory and gold in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Biles who was named the most famous athletics player in US history following Tuesday’s win Biles, appeared to clapped in a backwards way at the former teammates MyKayla Skinner after her scathing remarks about the team’s “work ethics. “
“Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions “Lack of talent, lazy and olympic champions,” the 27-year-old athlete wrote in her Instagram post following her win.
In the photo, Biles can be seen smiling together with teammates Suni Lee, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey and Jordan Chiles after topping the scoreboard.
Biles’ witty caption appeared to be a rebuke of Skinner’s earlier harsh comments regarding the Olympic team.
“Besides Simone, I feel that the ability and depth of the talent isn’t as it was in the past. Take note of this clearly many girls do not work as hard. Girls don’t have the motivation,” Skinner said in the now deleted YouTube video that has been viral on the X.
The former gymnast who retired following her win of an Olympic silver medal in the vault during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, then retracted her comments amid a massive criticism.
“It wasn’t my goal to hurt or discredit any athlete, or detract from their dedication,” Skinner posted on Instagram July 6. “Your perseverance and commitment has paid off, and I wish you all the best for each athlete.”
Skinner Biles and Biles both played for USA in 2014. World Championships.
The success of Tuesday resulted in Biles take the American team to its third gold medal for the all-around team in the last four Olympics.
The US team defeated Italy and Brazil which took home bronze and silver medals respectively.
The gold medal came as an uplifting return to form after a disappointing performance just four years earlier in Tokyo. It was also Biles his fifth career Olympic gold medal, together with a silver and two bronze medals.
Eight of her Olympic medals are among the highest of any American gymnast. One higher that Shannon Miller, who won in the years 1992 and 1996.
2024 OLYMPICS OF PARIS
In 2024, the Paris Olympics will be her 3rd. She was also a part of the gold medalists of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2016.
Biles is now preparing for the individual all-around finals. The event kicks in August. 1.
She’ll be able to collect as many as four medals when she competes alongside many others, including her teammates Suni Lee. She won silver in Tokyo.
Biles before spoke of her 2024 Olympics as the “redemption tour” for the US women’s team following the time they were awarded silver in Tokyo in 2021.
