Best Moment
Kristen Soltis Anderson, contributor to the to the opinion columnDoug Emhoff’s description Kamala Harris’s character as “joyful warrior” could be an intriguing theme in the coming months.
Binyamin A. Appelbaum, member of the editorial board. The State roll call is rocking with hip-hop artist Lil Jon as Georgia’s state’s hypeman.
Josh Barro, author of the magazine Very SeriousDemocrats made a short video in which voters were presented with the option of choosing between Harris’s plan to cut costs for drugs, create three million homes, and give more than 100 million Americans the chance to cut their taxes; and, what she called Trump’s plan to end Obamacare and institute a national sales tax (!) in order to reduce taxes on billionaires. Look for this to be featured in ad campaigns soon.
Charles M. Blow, Times columnistMichelle Obama taking direct shots at Trump. Michelle Obama hasn’t yet gotten over – and might never be able to get over the manner in which Trump was a tyrant to her family. This is a grudge that’s worth keeping.
Michelle Cottle, political writer for OpinionBarack and Michelle. Their speeches were completely different. She had a lot more edge than he did, however, I’m not going to pick between them. You aren’t able to create me.
