What was revealed during Gamescom 2024’s Opening Night Live?

One of the biggest games events is right in front of you — Gamescom 2024.
With E3 gone the German Gamescom event is widely regarded as the largest in-person gaming event in the world.
Every each year, in Cologne (except Cologne 2020), Gamescom was first held in 2009 and serves as an event that allows for a variety of large studios and publishers to present their offerings to attendees and gamers all over the world.
The fans can look forward to the premieres of trailers, gameplay reveal and announcements about new games in the near future as companies like Microsoft 2K and Team17, and Bethesda present their latest games.
Sony Sony is this year skipping Gamescom the year before, despite having not been a part of the Gamescom event since the time of the pandemic.
When is Gamescom 2024?
Gamescom is on for one week starting on the 20th of August, 2024 on Tuesday until Sunday, August 25, 2024.

The opening night is Tuesday, August 20th
Canadian videogame journalist and host Geoff Keighley will host Opening Night Live starting at 8pm local time and 2pm ET.
Wednesday August 21st
Bethesda livestream starts at 2pm local time and 8am ET.
Xbox Livestream beginning at 3pm local time. 9am Eastern Time.
Thursday August 22nd
Bethesda livestream starts at 2pm local time and 8am ET.

Friday August 23rd
Gamescom awards ceremony starts at 4pm local time and 7am Eastern time.

What was shown during Gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live?
Like you’d expect, Opening Night Live opened heavy. Following the terrible response and box office numbers of the Borderlands movie, we finally got the first glimpse at Borderlands 4. The game is set to release in 2025.
Another year and another Call of Duty game is in the works Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming soon Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Microsoft’s acquisition of ActiVision will also mean that the game will be released on Game Pass – a huge benefit for Xbox gamers. Dying Light The Beast is a film which is certain to delight those who love zombies that club as well as the freerunning. The new adventure will include Kyle Crane – the star of the original.
What can we anticipate at Gamescom 2024
The most anticipated games to be played at the event are an overview of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign as well as a glimpse of Machine games’ upcoming Indiana Jones and The Great Circle – although it’s still unclear the specifics of The Great Circle.
Bethesda can also provide an overview of Starfield’s initial expansion, which is titled Shattered Space.
