Schools gather to grieve the loss of Morgan Academy quarterback Caden Tellier
Tellier died following sustaining a head injury while playing in his participation in Selma’s Private School’s home opener on the evening of Friday.
Reactions are flooding on social media after the passing of Morgan Academy quarterback Caden Tellier who passed away on Saturday following being injured in the brain during his participation in the Selma Private School’s opening game last Friday.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Caden Tellier has gone to be with his Lord and Savior,” Morgan Academy Headmaster Bryan Oliver wrote on the school’s Facebook page.. “Caden was a devoted follower and a follower of Jesus Christ the Lord with all his heart and was a shining light each day when was running across the hallways at Morgan Academy. He was a teacher and a friend to athletes and, more importantly an evangelist for Christ.
“There aren’t words that can express our emotions as a school community and our family. We will all unite and stand by Jamie, Arsella and Lyla with all of our hearts. We extend our sincere condolences to all the extended families of the Tellier and also. “

Public and private schools, and the long-term rivals to Morgan Academy, have posted messages of encouragement and support on social media platforms.
