City which are striving to win a record-breaking fourth consecutive English top-flight title, will be able to be back in the lead in the match against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal’s London opponents Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

“I am going to be the biggest fan of Tottenham ever,” Arsenal’s Kai Havertz told Sky Sports. “Let’s be hopeful for the best..

“We didn’t have our best game but we needed the three points and we have it now so we can be happy. We have to win every single game as City are always keeping the pressure on,” said the manager. “It is so nice to be in the race and every week you have to play at your best. When you do it, it feels even better.”

Trossard was the one to score in the 20th minute, when Kai Havertz made a daring move into space on the left before sending his ball to the goal for Trossard to put it in the net.

Heads turned to see if there was an offside flag, but Casemiro who was recently transferred from midfield into United’s injured back lineHe had been slowly moving away from the box, but he made sure that Havertz was onside following the goalkeeper Andre Onana launched the ball forward.

Trossard’s goal proved enough to earn Arsenal all three points.

United manager Erik Ten Hag was shook his head in dismay.

“Obviously we only have one objective to win the league,” Trossard stated to Sky. “We have done our job today and it will be up to the last game and that is what we are aiming for.”

The match swung from beginning to end in a moment of tension, with Onana running to stop shots from Arsenal substitutes Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice.

United which were hoping to rebound from an embarrassing 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace on Monday, are currently eighth with two games remaining. They are trailing six-placed Newcastle with three points on their bid to earn an European qualification this season, setting the stage for an important game in the coming weeks when Newcastle take on the Magpies take on Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Ten Hag said it would be “very damaging” to miss Europe.

“That is the situation we are in, but still we can get there,” the reporter was told by him. “We have to take the responsibility, we have fight for it, and everyone knows this.”

Trossard’s goal was to score the second time that the 82nd Ten Hag’s team conceded this season across all competitions – the most they have conceded in one season since 1970-71.

United enjoyed a lot of the game’s final third of the game and scored 14 shots against Arsenal’s 11, however, they failed to create any quality opportunities.

Alejandro Garnacho was United’s most dangerous threat, especially in the second period. Garnacho fired a shot over the bar and then smashed another into the side net before hanging his head in anger.

The fans from the home team who were singing at a high volume stop throughout the evening and erupted after the final time of the game, which was more tense than the forecast. The torrential downpour would dampen their joy following the work completed with Mikel Arteta’s squad.

“We needed a result today in a really difficult place,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told reporters. “Our history was not in favour of a result today, there was so much at stake and we’re happy with the result.”

Arsenal achieved they had their 18th league clean this time. Sunday’s win was their 27th win in the League this termwhich was a record that was surpassed only by the 1970s (29 successes) along with 1930-30-31 (28).

United are down 19 times in the entire season. This is their worst loss ever since the 1978-1979 season (also the 19th game).).

Manchester, England (AP) – It is believed that the Premier League title race will continue until the final day of the season following Arsenal came back on top in the league with a 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.

Leandro Trossard scored the 20th minute of Old Trafford to ensure Arsenal will be able to take the reigning champions Manchester City to the final game on Sunday.

If it wasn’t for a victory against United to Mikel Arteta’s side could have been enough to see City claim the title with the victory over Tottenham the previous Tuesday. Arsenal did its best and moved one point clear of the title challenger in second position.

The loss for United was the latest setback for manager Erik Ten Hag, whose side was defeated for the 14th time in the league this season. It also continued a sour streak that saw it only win one of its eight games in the top division of England.

Arsenal gained from their lack of defensive effort from United as a substitute centre back Casemiro wasn’t quick to get up and was forced to play Kai Havertz onside. It was the Germany player took advantage of the situation and moved into the box, before crossing the ball for Trossard to score from close the distance.

Arsenal will play Everton in the last round. City is the home of West Ham.

At the moment, Arsenal has done all it can to ease the tension on Pep Guardiola’s squad — improvement over last year’s campaign which saw a sluggish start by the Gunners let City to claim the third time in succession with just three games left.

Although the title is in the City’s control, they must be won in the next two games in order to ensure an unprecedented fourth straight English league championship.

Arsenal hopes to win the title to be the first time in four years since in which Arsene Wenger’s team played for a whole season without losing, earning the title”the “Invincibles.”

The trip at Old Trafford always looked like its most difficult test in the game, and the past did not favor Arsenal’s side as they had only won one time in the last 16 matches in the stadium of United. But, Arsenal was the favorite to defeat the United team that was completely revealed to Crystal Palace earlier in the week, when they were beaten to a 4-0 defeat in Selhurst Park.

Casemiro was the subject of a lot of critics for the way he played against Palace But Ten Hag had asked Casemiro to play the Brazilian to take on the role against Arsenal which is home to among the league’s most deadly attacking teams in the league.

It shouldn’t been a surprise the player was blamed when Arsenal had an early lead.

The biggest surprise was the fact that Arteta’s team could not capitalise on the advantage and instead surrendered lengthy periods of control to United and never looked at a chance to surrender.

The second period was lacking in chances up until the substitution Gabriel Martinelli weaved his way through the United’s penalty area and forced Andre Onana to push away an effort which was headed toward the upper corner.

The United goalkeeper was required to make two additional saves in a short time firstly to stop Aaron Wan-Bissaka from heading into his own net and later to block Declan Rice’s long-range strike in the lower corner.
