BMW crashes into a bike in Mohali 1 person killed 2 injured

A teenager was killed and two other were injured when a speeding BMW vehicle smashed into their bicycle inside the Mohali district of Punjab on Wendesday night, according to police.
The police reported that the accident was in the Lohgarh area along the highway Zirakpur-Patiala. A car that was coming via the Patiala side struck the bicycle from behind. The victim has been confirmed as Sahib. The wounded two – Sumit and Rajvir were receiving treatment in the hospital.
Zirakpur police station’s house officer Jaskanwal Sekhon informed the Indian Express that they were able to arrest the driver of the car Prateek from Desumajra village located in Mohali who drove the BMW that had an Himachal Pradesh registration number. He also stated the fact that Prateek has been the second owner of this vehicle and that he purchased it through Himachal Pradesh.
The police arrested him under sections 342-A (death caused by carelessness) and section 427 (mischief or damage to belongings of 50 rupees) in the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
