Social media is buzzing with videos that showcases a GRAMMY winner navigating into the basement of TD Garden on Monday night following the Celtics defeated in the finals of the Dallas Mavericks, 106-88, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals to win the franchise’s 18th NBA title, the highest of any team.
In the video, Mai walks the hallway and waves to a person. They appear to be close to hugging before the clip cuts off but the moment you look at her “Boo’d Up” songstress turn around to reveal what appears like her expanding belly. On the clip, Mai can also be seen sporting Tatum’s no. 0 home Celtics jersey.
There’s another clip posted on social media that is being circulated, which gives a more detailed view of Mai who was seen wearing Tatum’s jersey after a party. On the surface it is clear that Mai appears to be expecting.
ET has contacted Mai’s representative to inquire about comments.
There’s the possibility there’s been speculation that Mai along with the Celtics 6 foot 8 power forward may have had an intimate relationship, but they haven’t spoken.
In actuality, ET spoke with Mai in February 2023 and she acted very sly when it came to romantic relationships- romantic or otherwise. As much as she’s willing to talk about it, it’s through her music, such as 2022’s “Hide” from her Heart on My Sleeve album, in which she sings about the possibility of finding love in her life, with songs like “Hard to explain / The type of ways I feel, you stuck on my brain” and “You give me feelings / so many feelings / What a surprise / Who knew I’d ever find / So many feelings / Some I can’t mention / Who knew I’d find a place to hide?” She sings “Don’t need to tell the whole world about you / I already believe I found you.”
“I think it’s been super important to me and I think as artists … we share a lot of ourselves already in the music,” she said about the reason she’s secretive. “Even sitting down and talking to you which is super fun, but I think there’s always a piece of me that wants to keep something to myself, you know? I think especially in relationships — whether it’s family, whether it’s friends, whether it’s romantically — those relationships are hard enough to keep without everybody knowing your business.”
