Italian teenager dubbed ‘God’s influencer’ is set to become the first Catholic Church’s saint for the millennial generation.

Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager and computer whiz who was dubbed “God’s influencer,” is expected to be the the Catholic church’s first saint of the millennial age.

Pope Francis has declared a miracle of another kind attributable to Acutis, a player as well as a computer programmers who passed away of leukemia in 2006, at the age of 15.

The boy was born in London 1991, Acutis later relocated from London to Milan, Italy with his family. Even though Acutis his parents were not religious, their son’s faith was cultivated by his Polish mother. Following his death the body was taken towards his home in the Italian town Assisi which is currently displayed in an altar, along with other relics that are linked to his.

Saints who are candidates for sainthood generally must have two miracles associated with them prior to being declared saints. The latest miracle associated with Acutis is related to the reported healing of one girl who was from Costa Rica who had suffered head injuries after falling off her bike in Florence, Italy, where she was enrolled in a course. Her mother claimed that she was praying for her daughter’s healing at the burial site of Acutis in Assisi.

Acutis was baptized and declared “blessed” after his first miracle in 2020. It was after he was said to have helped the body of a Brazilian boy who suffered from an anomaly in his pancreas. This defect caused him to be unable to consume food normally.

After the attributions of two miracles following the attribution of two miracles, the next stage is for the Pope to convene a gathering of cardinals who will agree on Acutis sainthood and to choose an appropriate date for his canonization.
