A WRITTEN MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCESS OF WALES
I’ve been amazed by all the lovely messages of encouragement and support during the last few months. It has really made a huge difference to William and me, and given us both a hand through the tough moments.
I’m making progress However, as anyone going through chemotherapy knows there are good days as well as bad ones. On bad days, you are tired, weak and need to let your body’s need to rest. On the other hand, on good days that you feel better and more energetic, you want to get the most out of being well.
My treatment continues and is expected to last for a couple of months. When I feel good enough, it’s an absolute pleasure to be involved in school, or spend some your time with the things that boost my positive energy and energy and also to begin to work at home.
I’m eager to attend The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family. would like to participate in some public events throughout the summer months, while also feeling confident that I’m not completely quite there yet.
I am learning learn to stay patient particularly when faced with doubt. I am taking each day with a smile, paying attention to my body and allowing myself the time needed to recover.
Thank you very much for your understanding and patience and to everyone who have told me your stories.

In her March video message she stated that it was the “early stages” of preventative chemotherapy.
Preventative chemotherapy is the treatment performed following an initial treatment to stop cancer from recurring, says Dr. Ben Ho Park, director of the specialty oncology department at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine, previously stated to TODAY.com
“There are some cancers … where we have to make decisions (as to) who should get additional chemotherapy after surgery and who should not,” Park states. “We base that off things like the stage of the cancer, the type of cancer, and even … the age of the patient sometimes to determine whether or not giving chemotherapy after surgery will improve outcomes.”
