Katy Perry said her goodbyes on “American Idol” after seven seasons.
In the live broadcast of Sunday’s “Idol” season finale, the mix of Perry’s most popular songs was played with the songs “Teenage Dream,” “Dark Horse” and “California Gurls.”
Perry took off on the table of judges after the performance.
In the finale of three hours, Perry also sang “What Makes a Woman.” Perry made it clear in February that will be going away from the ABC singing contest.
Season 22 also announced an overall winner in the final which saw Abi Carter taking home the prize after she sang the hit song by Billie Eilish “What Was I Made For?”
Perry will be heading to Brazil in the fall to attend his participation in the Rock in Rio music festival that could clash in “Idol’s” production schedule.
Perry was a judge with Richie Bryan and Bryan since the year 2018.
The Official account on Instagram account shared a video showing Perry eating pizza while the women from the top 12 performed her songs, captioning it, “We will miss you @katyperry Thank you for seven unforgettable seasons! Fly butterfly.”
