Krispy Kreme is adding Dr. Pepper-flavored doughnuts to its menu
It’s not a likely collaborationhowever, it’s likely to become a cult one.
Two majors in the sugary industry -two giants of the sugar industry – Krispy Kreme and Dr Pepper are collaborating.
The Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection is three doughnuts which the two brands are working to launch ahead of football season.
Beginning on Aug. 23rd, customers will be able to enjoy the entire collection for a limited time only at Krispy Kreme shops across the U.S. The new doughnut comes with a unique flavor with a unique flavor that “delivers the refreshing experience of the iconic 23 original flavors of Dr Pepper,” according to a press release along with a return holiday favorite.
- Dr Pepper Kickoff Doughnut: This new treat is a glazed doughnut that’s been baked before and tops it off with Dr. Pepper-flavored frosting sprinkles with burgundy hues as well as a chocolate white Dr Pepper logo.
- Buttercreme Goals Doughnut This brand new delight is a unique baked doughnut coated in a green icing. It is then decorated with sprinkles of color and an orange buttercream-flavored goalpost.
- Kreme filled Football Doughnut The item that is returning uses a plain doughnut stuffed by the white “Kreme” and dips it in icing made of chocolate and white piping and transforms it into a football that can be eaten.
“Two of America’s most loved flavors are about to become one amazing gameday sensation to make this the sweetest kickoff to football season ever,” said Dave Skena, global chief brand officer at Krispy Kreme, in a press announcement. “This Dr Pepper collection is a must-add to your gameday lineup, whoever you’re cheering for.”
Additionally, the brand offers free delivery from August. 23 to August. 25 on all purchases through the Krispy Kreme App or the website.
It is available for purchase on the Krispy Kreme x Dr Pepper Kickoff Collection is available in the shop, and can be picked up at participating stores or by delivery on Krispy’s apps and websites. Customers can also buy the doughnuts packaged in the Krispy Kreme customized half-dozen container at some retail stores.
Each of Krispy Kreme, as well as Dr Pepper have been making news in recent months. The first time was in March when Krispy Kreme announced that it would provide fresh doughnuts on a daily basis at McDonald’s outlets across the country. Then, in June Dr Pepper surpassed Pepsi as the second most loved soda after Coca-Cola.
