Mumbai Cricket Association honorary president Amol Kale passes away in New York
Amol Kale, 47 years old Amol Kale, 47, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) honorary president, died after suffering a heart attack at the age of 47 in New York. Kale together with MCA Secretary Ajinkya Naik, and apex council members Suraj Samat, had watched India’s dramatic win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup from the stadium on the 9th of June.

Kale was elected the MCA president after defeating World Cup champion Sandeep Patil during a highly-contested contest in the month of October 2022. Kale was instrumental in the MCA decision to increase the match fees for Mumbai’s senior males beginning the new season.
Originating in Nagpur, Kale was based in Mumbai for more than a decade, establishing various firms. Kale was believed as a trusted friend of Devendra Fadnavis Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister.
Apart from being the head of MCA’s operations, Kale was also a co-promoter for the Indian Street Premier League, the tennis-ball franchise cricket league which was established earlier this year.
