Fossati appears to blame field for Advincula injury

Jorge Fossati appeared to blame the field at AT&T Stadium for the injury that forced Luis Advincula off against Chile.
The Peru captain 34 was substituted due to what seemed to be a niggle after only 34 minutes in the 0-0 draw played on Friday night.
He was substituted with Marcos Lopez.
“This isn’t normal grass that’s planted and grows,” Fossati stated following the game. “It could be a bit harder and can cause you to suffer. I’m not a physician.”
The comments are in response to a lot of criticism of the playing surface following Argentina’s first win over Canada on Friday night.
Coach head Lionel Scaloni said the field in Atlanta was “not good for spectacle” before goalie Emiliano Martinez remarked that the field “a disaster”.
Advincula has been capped 119 times for his country and is the second highest number behind forward Paolo Guerrero (120) in the current team.
Peru is next to face Canada next Tuesday, in Kansas City.

Novel doping defense
73′ Peru 0-0 Chile
Paolo Guerrero is almost certainly the only footballer in the world to have provided evidence in relation to the three freeze-dried Inca child mummies during his defense in a doping investigation…
Children to be avoided, Guerrero is a legendary player for South American football. He was Peru’s most popular player for the better portion of two decades as well as scoring the goal which earned Brazilian team Corinthians an significant World Club Cup success against Chelsea in 2012. If he has something to offer is an entirely different question completely The fact is that he hasn’t scored from open playing since the last time he played for Peru in the last two years since winning the Copa America.
The mummy defense does highlight an important fact: everybody is in the clear until Peruvian is found guilty.
