Rachael Ray has left her fans “concerned” after she posted an online video where she seems to blurt out her words.
The legendary TV chef, 56, posted the clip from her show “Rachael Ray in Tuscany” on Instagram on September 2. She enthralled viewers with the moment she hosted legendary singer Tony Bennett to dinner, and, according to her account — “almost killed Tony Bennett almost killed him. “
Ray remembered the shocking tale as he was preparing for the public to learn how to cook Bennett’s most-loved recipe, Ossobuco — braised shanks of veal with polenta along with bread.
The best-selling author of cookbooks acknowledged that when Bennett visited her home to the very first time she did “a little overboard” and cleaned her kitchen floorswhich caused Bennett getting a hazardous spill.
Ray remembers, “When I pulled out the chair to allow Tony to take a seat for his starter food and an aperitivo, it slipped away from his feet and he landed head-on on my counter top with marble behind him. He fell to the ground. “
The TV star who put an end to her morning show at the end of 2023 was shocked. “I thought I killed Tony Bennett,” she said. “I thought I had killed him. Literally. His wife Susan is so gorgeous and he tells me “Rachael is fine. He’ll be back. Let the guy remain.'”
“He made it all through dinner,” according to Ray He also said that the double portion he had.
Bennett died on the 21st of July 2023 at the age of 96, after a seven-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Ray remembered him as “such a gentleman.”
“I miss my friends so much,” she declared. “The most beautiful man, maybe ever.”
Users who were on Instagram were distracted because of the way the TV host was speaking.
“Is she slurring or am I slurring[? ]” One person inquired.
Another fan who was worried wrote “Wait! What’s going on with Rachael Ray?”
“I love you but are you ok? I’m seriously concerned,” another person commented in Ray’s comment.
This sentiment was shared by a lot of people and one person even pondering, “What happened[? ]”
As quickly as comments raised concerns over Ray’s appearance, speech and manner of speaking and appearance, others spoke out in support of her.
“God those people who are so rude !!!! Thanks for your thoughtful comments and eating the other day,” one fan chimed in.
A different backer responded, “My goodness, all you perfect people making the most awful, hateful comments. MOVE ALONG!”
Some also condemned commenters who raised concerns about the health of Ray. “It’s not our business, but what is our business is just listening to her story and looking at the positives,” one person who supports her said.
“She’s ageing as do the rest of the rest of us. Maybe she has some medical issue, or perhaps she’s taking medication. No matter what, there’s no reason to be a jerk,” someone else added.
One person who was a supporter suggested that Ray’s speech style could be influenced due to emotional turmoil. “She got emotional talking about her friend is all,” the supporter stated, referring to Bennett.
In regards to criticism of the chef’s appearance One person summarized the feelings of a number of Rachael Ray fans.
“She’s aging well the normal way no plastic surgery or doing it like every one else… get real people… all people judging about how all this celebrity are plastic surgery breast, lip, but [sic] anything and she’s just like us again the natural way so yes this is a shock to you all,” they wrote. “Go Rachael do your thing and thank you for showing us the real you.”
Through her time in spotlight, Ray has not publicly revealed any health issues. The TV star was able to address her health concerns back in 2008 when speculation began to surface about her having surgery to treat throat cancer.
“Rachael is the picture of health,” Ray’s spokesperson, Charlie Dougiello, said at the time. “She is having minimal surgery to eliminate the benign cyst that has formed within the vocal cord. It’s an in-and out procedure that she’ll undergo in early December. It isn’t going to impact her shows during the day and Food Network tapings.”
The Post has reached to the Ray’s representative to get his opinion.
