The daughter of Elvis Presley fights the selling the singer’s iconic Graceland home

The daughter of Elvis Presleyis seeking to stop the imminent auction for foreclosure of the rock legendary singer’s historical Graceland mansion, calling it “fraudulent”.
Actress Riley Keough, well-known for her roles on Magic Mikeand the popular Miniseries Daisy Jones & the Six,became the new owner of Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee,following the passing of Presley’s mother, Lisa Marie Presley, last year.
Keough was appointed an sole trustee for the estate following a legal dispute with her grandmother Priscilla Presley, who died at 78.
Elvis Presley purchased the property for P102,500 in 1957. the year in which he also hit the air with hits such as “All Shook Up” and “Blue Christmas” – and was there until his death in 1977.
NBC Newsreports that a lawsuit brought by Keough claims that the proposed deal to sell Graceland may be fake.
A temporary restraining order regarding the sale was granted the previous Monday (20 May) Per Keough’s lawyer. An injunction hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
As per the lawful notice Lisa Marie Presley allegedly signed an Deed of Trust in 2018 to secure the $3.8m (PS2.9m) credit from an Missouri firm called Naussany Investments and Private Lending which used Graceland as a collatoral.
The company is now asserting the fact that Lisa Marie did not pay the amount prior to her death at the age of 54 last year.
However, the lawsuit that was filed on the 15th of May the 15th of May, claims that her mother’s signatures on documents are fakes, the loan never took place and it is claimed that Naussany Investments is not a real business and the notary public who signed the loan’s documents did not not verify it.
In a statement sent to NBC News, Elvis Presley Enterprises which operates Graceland as well as the properties of the Elvis Presley Trust, suggested the proposed sale was part of a ploy.
