DaniLeigh’s bodycam footage from her DUI hit-and-run case in May 2023 was released, revealing the R&B singer’s attempts to leverage her fame to get away from arrest.

The video, obtained by TMZ The footage, obtained by TMZ DaniLeigh clearly drunk and pleads to Miami police officers not to detain her. She also denies that she struck anyone with her vehicle.

DaniLeigh actually struck a 17-year old during the incident and threw them off the moped, causing severe injuries which included a kidney laceration and an injury to the spine.

In further footage from the police, she can be seen driving away following the incident and only stopped when authorities tried to pull her back a number of times. Witnesses around have also verified that she had left the scene with no pause.

In her subsequent interactions with officers in the aftermath, she repeatedly denied she struck anyone. At another time in the video of her body you can see her becoming emotional and mention that she was with rapper Quavo. He appears for a brief moment in the footage with his security personnel.

While being removed in handcuffs DaniLeigh is heard crying and muttering, “I didn’t hit nobody.” A Breathalyzer test revealed later that her blood alcohol level was more than double the legal limit.

Following her arrest DaniLeigh was charged with a number of charges, including driving while under the of alcohol and leaving the scene of the crash, causing serious bodily injuries, and DUI that caused property damage.

She will plead no contest in February to an infraction of misdemeanor DUI charge as well as the felony charge of DUI that caused serious injury. Other charges could be dismissed if she successfully completes her court-ordered 5 year probation.

DaniLeigh’s attorney Michael Catalano, claimed at the time that the victim was to blame for the incident.
