Violet Affleck, 18 she speaks out against mask bans, and says she suffers from post-viral ailments.
The daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner is now a registered voter, and she’s excited to make use of her voice.
Violet Affleck is raising awareness on a subject that is near and dear to her heart.
The daughter of Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck attended a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting on 9 July. She demanded that county officials to oppose the ban on masks and ensure the supply of masks to groups that are vulnerable.
In a video clip of the meeting, her address was to supervisory boards, she declared herself a “Los Angeles resident” and “first-time voter. ” She also gave the reasons she is so zealous in protecting other people from dangerous viruses.
“I developed a post-viral disease in the year 2019. I’m now fine but I’ve witnessed firsthand that medical professionals don’t always know the effects of even minor infections. The COVID-19 epidemic has brought this into sharper focus,” she added.
Affleck continues to talk about the dangers associated with COVID which is long-lasting.
“One in 10 infections leads to long COVID, which is a devastating neurological (and) cardiovascular illness that can take away people’s ability to work, move, see and even think,” she explained.
The exact number of patients suffering from prolonged COVID (defined as a condition that is correlated to COVID-19 lasting longer than 3 months)is not known. However, a study of 2022 conducted by the U.S. Centers of Disease Control and Prevention found seven percent of the patients had it at a certain point in the past. Experts have calculated that COVID with a long duration could be affecting between 2 to 5 percent of patients. TODAY.com previously published an article about COVID.
The signs of COVID, which last a lengthy time can be a result of neurological issues like brain fog to heart issues, blood clots as well as severe fatigue and discomfort.
In the months following the outbreak, a large number of people have opted out of wearing masks when out to the places in the public. Yet, Affleck advised county officials to make sure that those who require or require additional protection from the virus are provided with masks as well as other ways to prevent.
“To confront the long COVID crisis, I demand mask availability, air filtration and far-UVC light in government facilities, including jails and detention centers, and mask mandates in county medical facilities,” she said.
Affleck was also vocal regarding “(expanding) the availability of high-quality free tests and treatment” and also against Mask bannings “for whatever reason. “
“(Mask bans) don’t make us secure. They render vulnerable members of our community feel less secure and reduce the ability of everyone to enjoy Los Angeles together,” she said at the end of her speech.
The use of a mask for face could reduce the chance of transmitting respiratory virus, according to CDC.
In the news that Affleck recently completed her high school graduation, her mother who was very proud of her child posted a photoof her in tears at the ceremony of graduation.
“Tell me that you are graduated, but don’t tell me that you graduated. (bless the hearts of our children ),” she posted a caption to the tweet.
Affleck along with her siblings have been left off the limelight throughout the years, but she was photographed along with their motherat an event held at an event at the White House state dinner in 2022.
